Note: I am currently not taking on any new clients (October, 2022 - July, 2023).

My passion is helping people achieve the life of their dreams through the past and removing self-sabotaging beliefs or patterns.

I am a compassionate, empathetic and sensitive therapist who is able to easily tune in to the individual needs of my clients and design tailored psychological interventions integrating a range of evidence based therapies.

Areas of Expertise

Schema Therapy, EMDR therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy & Mindfulness/Compassion therapies

I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients, pretty much anyone who finds they are being held back from achieving their goals by anxiety, depression, past experiences of abuse or neglect, self-criticism, perfectionism, self-sabotage, fear or something they can't quite put their finger on.

Given my interest in working with lots of different issues, I have specialised in a number of different and effective therapies which I integrate into treatment.

I have a strong background in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which I often use as the foundational intervention with most clients as it has a very strong evidence based for a range of mental health conditions.

I have specialised in Schema Therapy, having completed Level 1 & 2 training courses with ongoing supervision over the past three years. I use Schema Therapy frequently as I find it helps to get to the deeper underlying issues when needed and develop greater self-understanding.

At the end of 2021 I completed Level 1 training in EMDR, and am receiving specialist supervision in this treatment modality. I find that for many people EMDR is one of the fastest ways to resolve issues from the past and create lasting change. As a result I use it frequently, especially once a strong rapport and understanding of underlying issues has been established.

I have a special interest in the role of self-compassion on mental health and well-being and have completed two separate research studies in this area, including the following published research paper:

Parenting self-compassion: A systematic review and meta-analysis
